I’m a huge fan of TED Talks, NPR and various “social study” Podcasts. Once in a while I come across a talk that gives me an Aha! moment. A recent example of awesomeness is a talk given by Brene Brown at TED Houston called “The Power of Vulnerability”. Brene is a research Professor at the University of Houston who studies vulnerability, courage, authenticity and shame.
First of all, I think she’s mad cool, I’ve been stalking her on her blog ever since I watched the video. In another life I could see us being friends.
Second, I think the message was right on point and her delivery was clear and succinct, not to mention funny! The central premise is about the concept of “wholeheartedness” or as I interpret it, one must be vulnerable to BE. Well worth the 20 minutes
